My 1st surgery I was 15 back hurt a lot but my leg didn't and I could walk and work. 2nd was when I was 29 hurt but I could walk and I didn't take pills very often and the Dr did not want to give them to me when I did. Now I am 54 and my rt leg from the knee down is numb and have drop foot. I ruptured a disk 3 yrs ago no Ins. No CARE just here are some perscriptions and go find a Dr. Couldn't afford the op and now that damage I have been told is not going away and the pain isn't either. I was lucky enough to find a wonderful Pain Mang. Dr and now take oxy every 4 hours just to function. My wonderful mom passed away on Easter and she left her house to me in Fl knowing I wouldn't be able to work much longer. The pain meds I kept secret from everyone felt ashamed. Dr say I will never get any better its just bad luck and genes and I am stuck taking the meds. Why do I feel like a druggie I need help finding a Dr in Fl near me or How can I find a Dr in a back woods county on Fl that just won't presribe anything stronger then 3 loratabs a day?

Are you taking Oxycontin or oxycodone every 4 hours? And where are you getting it from? Are you seeing a pain management doctor? Why do you need to find another one if you have one already?
I am including a link to the steps to getting treatment for Chronic spine pain , it may help you to find other ways to manage the pain aside from just using pain medications....although they are part of an overall pain treatment program, they are not the only means to getting pain treatment.
