Spinal Stenosis, scoliosis, ddd

Hello, I am a new member as of today. Hope this is a correct posting. Wasn't sure where to post, being new.
A little about myself: I am 66 yr. old that had my first surgeries at 15. So I have been in ortho for many years. Have severe scoliosis, a total of 4 surgeries. With the surgeries, I have had back muscles tied, full body cast for a year, lumbar fusion and double Harrington rods in/out. So now, I have had spinal stenosis with ddd for about 6 yrs. now. Am going in for my 4th transforminal epidural steroid injection next week.
The last one took awhile but lasted for over a year. Before that I was on morphene for quite awhile. I also have vicaden as needed, which isn't really working anymore. Imbarrased to say, but my bladder is being affected now too. This injection, well, I plan for it to be my last. Been putting off another surgery for 6 yrs. now. Will be going on a cruise in June 2014, so will consider the surgery after that more seriesly.
Any one out there with such extensive spinal history, even similar, would love to hear from. I use a cane now. At least it's not a wheel chair.
