Pneumonia Vaccine?

Yesterday I had my flu, tetanus & pneumonia vaccine. I had one in each arm and one in my hip. The arm that I got the pneumonia shot in is swollen. It is swollen from the top of my shoulder almost down to where my elbow bends. It is swollen so much that it looks like the muscle that Popeye gets after he eats his spinach!! The arm that I got my flu shot in is only a little bit sore with no swelling. The tetanus vaccine is giving me no problems either, in fact so little trouble that I cant even tell which hip I got it in. My pneumonia vaccine arm besides being so swollen is also very warm and I can barely lift it. Has anyone experienced this after a pneumonia vaccine. My right arm looks like I have been lifting weights and my left arm looks like I have completely ignored it!!! I have been icing it off and on all night long but it still continues to swell, I don't recall ever swelling quiet like this with any vaccine.

  • Mine was sore for a few days, I'd say discomfort... not true pain unless I smacked it. You do need to call the doctor and let them know immediately.
33yo mom of two. My surgical history...preadolescence scoliosis, kyphosis, and a hot mess.... 5 spine surgeries and lots of items added I wasn't born with (titanium, peek, surgical steel). Guess cremation is out. TSA loves me.
