Hi Everybody! I've been suffering with low back and buttock pain for a little over 3 years. When it first started my primary care Dr. sent to physical therapy which didn't change the pain and then I had my 1st MRI. She said it showed some narrowing and arthritis. She recommended taking ibuprophen. Next step I went to an orthopedic dr. His findings were the same only he told me I also had scoliosis. He sent me to pain management where I began having lots of injections, epidural, facet, sacroiliac. I also had lumbar rhizotomy. None of these treatments had any effect on my pain. I've moved to a different city and my new primary care is starting everything from scratch. She took an xray last Saturday and showed me the arthritis, the spinal narrowing and scoliosis. She sent me to get a lumbar MRI which I did this past Wed. So I'm waiting for the results. I'm taking oxycodone 15mg 4 times a day. It helps for the first couple of hours but then wears off. I also take neurontin which seems to help some. My pain is increased by sitting.
I guess that's my story. I'm open to any thoughts. My pain dr. wanted me to try a SCS but I'm still thinking about that one.
