I have always been curious as to the naming convention people use while registering for online sites.
Having been involved with the Internet, online databases, forum sites, etc since the mid-1980's I've always used my last name or variation of it while creating userid/member names. So, dilauro , rdilauro, rndilauro is what you will find all over the Internet.
I like to associate the member with the real person. This has been helpful to me, because I could get a better 'read' about a person through different site logins.
I do understand that some folks here have member names that only make sense to them. Having their real name might compromise a situation or they just want their privacy.
While creating your member name, what was your rationale?
