Fell today,,

Went to go out today and did not realize there was ice under the fresh snow!! I am 6!wks post fusion surgery. Thank goodness I bent my knees and fell forward!! Later in the day I have been having some back spasms. Took a muscle relaxer and heating pad. Please be careful when you are going outside in the winter!! I am lucky it could have been a disaster!!

  • I didn't even TRY to walk around during our ice storms, but I was lucky enough to not have to. I understand some people do. I hope you feel better and the fall didn't do too much damage! I'm sure you are just fine though, your post doesn't seem like a panic post....I've posted a few of those =)
  • I believe the usual relief method is ICE, not heat after an accute incident of pain.

I feel so bad you fell

It's one of my worse fears

    God bless and take care

My orthopedic surgeon gave me strict rules that if there is any ice or snow he does not want me out unless absolutely necessary. That is how I messed up my knee to begin with and since knee replacement in Aug.and thoracic surgery he doesn't want me taking chances. Thank goodness we haven't had much snow this Winter.
