Looking for a bit of advise on where to start, and what to do to help.
Approx. 4 yrs ago my father had some bad pains in his legs, and had a cyst removed from his spine. Since this operation he has progressively gone from walking with discomfort, to having a limp, to the need of a cane and now a walker. His walking got really bad about 1 yr ago, and his doctor installed a syncromed programmable pump to administer "baclofen". This has help greatly with the shakes he had in his right leg (which is the location of all the problems), but mobility is still greatly reduced. It affects his right leg only, and he restriction is in the movement between his knee-foot. As he explains, it feels like it is always asleep.
So my question is, where do I begin to help him.... Is there possibly medication he"s on causing this? Is this nerve damage that is getting worse? Any advise on this is greatly appreciated.
