Spinal stenosis diagnosed many years ago
due to doctors not believing in me and refusing to give me MRI I went private when I was diagnosed with L3/4 L4/5 badly touching a nerve which was decompressed.

However, long before I had this operation I had severe pain in my groin area running into the top of my leg (not going down as far as my knee). and buttock pain. My back doesn't really hurt since I had it decompressed but I can only walk now 30 mins and the pain is terrible. i can only take pazital for pain.

I had also had injections in my thigh as one or two doctors thought that I had bursitis but this wouldn't go into my groin would it?

I have a bit of osteoporosis in this hip too. Has anyone any idea where the pain is coming from? I now live in Spain and the medical services are worse than England.

So I may go private again....

  • I wouldn't dare to guess but my suggestion is to go to your GP and start there. Hopefully, he can either make referrals to the appropriate doctors or order any imaging studies that need to be done to get you started on the right road.
