Had a fusion 5 1/2 years ago. The last two years I new something was wrong and had MRI's done, etc. finally ended up at a Pain management doctor and had 3 different injections done. Made things seem worse and they just threw me on drugs. Finally gave up and went back to my surgeon and he did an xray and BAM, bulging disc above my plate of my old fusion. Had the plate removed this past January, about 6 weeks ago, and they put a spacer where my C4 was. Now I am a patient person for the most part and besides these surgeries I have had many other sugeries. I have a very high threshold for pain. I am still pretty much on the couch with a heating pad and my pain pills. If I have one good day and do light housework for just a few hours, I am out for the next 3 or 4 days. I went to the Doctor yesterday and he ordered another MRI. And some kind of compound cream that is made out of state that will be mailed to me, I guess it has inflammatory ingredients in it,etc. and I am starting massage therapy. I understand I should be sore here and there but constant pain??? It seriously is getting depressing. I dont know what I am asking for, maybe some advice, someone to relate or just a shoulder? Maybe all of that. Thanks for reading.
