I had surgery on 01/03/14 started PT 02/27/14 did very good. I needed the hot/cold therapy, not that bad. xxxx did I wake up in pain. I feel like I went backwards by a few weeks omg the pain is killing me. I have been stuck in the bed for the last few days. I cannot extend my right leg out without pain. Thinking about not going back, I don't want to feel like I am not getting better. I also have to get ready for work next month.

  • Did you call your Doc? I too felt worsening symptoms after starting PT. It started with increased low back and nerve pain down my leg. I then developed significant swelling around my incision that would come and go. That made my incision hurt more to where I could no longer lay on my back. My Surgeon got me in the next day and told me that it was irritated muscles protruding out around my incision. He increased my Valium and told me to walk ONLY and as often as tolerated. No more PT for at least 4 more weeks.
