Hello all, I wanted to re-introduce myself, I had surgery C5,6,7 acdf with hardware 2 years ago with no problems. I am now 4 weeks post op of C7-T1 acdf with hardware. I am not doing so well with this one. I still am experiencing pain but that is not as bad as having hardly any use of my right hand. That's the frustrating part since I am right handed, I was pretty active before lifting weights 4 times a week and running 3 to 4 miles a day. I was wondering if any body else has had the same surgery as I have had and what their experience was after surgery. I go back to the surgeon in 2 weeks for my second post op appt. I think I might have pushed it a little too hard with this one since I had such good luck and a very easy recovery from the last surgery.

Thanks in advance all.

  • Hi Frank,
I haven't had your surgery, but I get the frustration about not be able to do all the activities you did before the surgery. If you want post about how the follow-up goes with your surgeon, hopefully you'll be able to do these activities again even if it is in a different way.
