  • Rachanapal24; mine has been when I walk on a "right heel" the pain on the buttock/waist is unbearable...so I have had to lift my leg to ensure the heel doesn't hit the surface...just like you it started around May 2013 and medication has not helped...
  • It sounds like they are loading you up with steroids which will mess up your hormones bigtime! If you don't have any improvement on the steroids don't let them keep pumping them in you. Seek a second and third opinion with another neurosurgeon and do physical therapy as much as you can. Also, give in to pain meds if you need them. Pain is more taxing on your body than pills. Pain causes lack of sleep which then causes stress and depression, which then affects your recovery. I hope you find relief soon. I know how terrible it is to feel helpless and terrified of the unknown.
  • Did you find a treatment that worked for you? Don't lose heart if what you already tried didn't work, there are some great doctors and innovative treatments out there. I hope you are feeling better.
