I posted a few months back and have been trying very hard to get well. I had an injury to my back December 2012 from shoveling snow. Long story made short after an initial 4 months of treatment , couple of epidurals and continued pain I sought a 2 nd opinion from a neurosurgeon. He found a piece of fractured disc sitting on my main L4 nerve root and recommended surgery. I had the surgery last may 2013 and have never been able to return to normal. I continue to have low back pain and have tried everything, PT, acupuncture just not pain meds as they don't agree with my system.
A week ago I had a massage and now am a lot worse. It seems like I have more numbness in my leg and oh my back hurts! I am so discouraged because this has gone on far to long! I just want my life to return to normal. My daughter is sad to have a mom that can't do anything and I am ready to give up! I have made an appt to see my neurosurgeon in a few weeks and also I made an appt to see another orthopedic spine specialist in a month! Not sure how I will manage.
Anyone else have this recurring nightmare? Do you think a massage could have re herniated something 9 months out?
