Numbness after surgery

OK my fiance had a l4 to t12 fusion 2 yes ago. She ended up having shooting pain down here left leg after surgery n she fell. The doctors told her it was normal and would go away. Eventually it turned to straight numbness. She went to a different doctor n found out three screws were on her spinal cord. After the equipment was removed the numbness still remained. She had a EMG done on her leg to test her nerves and according to the tests her nerves were working properly. She was told that the numbness was in her head. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice to help us figure this out. Please help. You can also email me with suggestion. We live in Iowa. Woodster6969@gmail.com. please anyone that can help would be awesome.
