Hip Groin pain after cortisone injection

Newbie here. Today I had a steroid injection into my L5 pinched nerve and I have been having pain in my right front hip/groin bone. I wonder if this is a side effect.

Also can if anyone could explain these CT scan results which I got couple of days ago as I do not know who to see either neurosurgeon or orthopaedic. Here in Australia we have long wait to see either. This all new to me as 2 days ago I never knew I had bulging discs.

At L4-L5, small broad-based disc bulge, mild posterior facet joint degenerative change and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy contribute to mild spinal canal and foraminal narrowing. No evidence of neural compromise.

At L5-31, there is a small broad-based disc bulge causing mild indentation of the anterior thecal sac. Prominent L5 inferior endplate osteophytosis in the right foraminal region causes moderately severe right-sided foraminal narrowing with osteophytic encroachment on to the exiting right L5 nerve root. The disc osteophyte measures 1.8 cm oblique medial lateral x 0.8 cm anterior posteriorly and 0.3 cm in height. There is mild -Posterior facet joint degenerative change.

1. Prominent L5 inferior endplate osteophyte in the right foraminal region causes moderately severe right L5-S1 foraminal narrowing with encroachment on to the exiting right L5 nerve root.
2. Mild L4-L5 and L5-31 degenerative disc disease.
