DDD Lumbar, massive pain scheduled to have SCS

I was in a car accident in 2009 that left me disabled due to nerve damage from my neck to my sciatica. Over the last 8 months my pain has gotten tremendously worse. At this point I can barely stand in the same position for more a few min and the pain gets so bad it takes my breathe away. My left hip through my knee feel like they are on a aching fire. Sitting also now hurts as well. When I try and sleep the hip and shoulder pressure points pain wakes me up numerous times at night and in the morning I can barely move.

The dr finally scheduled for me to have a SCS (Spinal cord stimulation) devise implanted to hopefully help relive the pain. I am already on very high doses of EL opiates plus oxy but not touching it lately. I had a friend have this procedure done and she went from a wheelchair and high meds to walking and 75% less meds within a month.

Has anyone else had this type of pain? Had this procedure done? Did it help?
