Hello from oz

Hello one and all, I am new to this forum, I recently just had a tlif in Jan 14th 2014, due to ongoing back problems. The last 2013 was a nightmare ongoing pain in the back leg and buttock. I tried it all injections, exercises swimming,resting, physical therapy lotions and potions, and I even resorted to horse massage Cream Anything For Relive. My surgeon decided to do surgery, so I an now post op 10 weeks, I am now starting to string good days together now, I know it's going to be a long journey for me. I am still on lyrica post op and paradol 6 times a day, and if I need to I do take endone but very rarely now, to everyone having surgery Goodluck to you all I wish you well, and your days will get better just like mine have.I do lots of walking and I am going to start physical therapy at 3 months post op

    I'm in Aus, too. Regional Victoria, to be specific. It's fantastic that you are improving and seem to have had a good result from surgery. What spine condition did you have?

    I had a slipped disc in the L5 S 1 lower back, I am doing really well post op still have a bit of nerve pain but that is too be expected thankyou for your welcome I live on the gold coast now ex melb girl cheers

  • Welcome! It's always lovely to hear about positive surgical outcomes. It is so much more common to hear about the horror stories. So thanks for sharing and I wish you continued good luck in your recovery!
