ACFD in June 2014 now having a HOT tooth extracted

Should I be concerned? Sunday I had a tooth go bad in just a few hours. Lots of swelling my jaw and soft tissue in left jaw is swollen. Reputable oral surgeon extracted the tooth and installed two drains. Put me on two oral antibiotics. Swelling not improving and so they may add a third drain and/or admit me to hospital for oral antibiotics. I'm type 2 diabetic. Should I be concerned about infection affecting neck?

  • Have you talked to your surgeon? Your surgeon is your best source for advice. No one on the forum is really qualified to answer that question for you. Good luck! Sounds painful.
