Pain forum for kids?

As I've mentioned in numerous posts, my 10-yr-old son currently has tremendous foot pain due to Sever's disease. He has seen me spending a lot of time on this site, & asked if there was something like this for kids. He would very much like to chat with other kids who have pain issues.

I did several searches related to "pain forum for kids" & the like, & also a specific one to his condition. I found tons of parent forums, but nothing for kids. If anyone knows of such a thing, I'd appreciate it if you would let me know.

PS- funny, but when I typed in "pain forum for kids" 2 of the links that came up were my posts in Spine Health! I never knew that specific words in a search could lead someone directly to a member's post. Very interesting.
We can't always control the cards we are dealt in life, but we can control how we play the hand

  • Great idea but unfortunately, as with much of the web, I imagine there is a certain age cut off (example, users have to say 'yes' to something like "I confirm I am 18 or older" to join the site) to prevent little kids from being overexposed online. It could open the door to lots of scary stuff.

  • That's a good point, & may very well be the reason I can't find one. He is just having a really hard time emotionally, this pain has been going on a few months. He has a psychologist as part of his team, but like us, he really wants to talk to other kids who have pain like him.
