Pregnancy and Post-partum back pain

I've suffered chronic back pain for half my life - you could say that I'm used to the pain. In short, I have multiple disc herniations at all levels. My low back is most problematic with bulging discs, stenosis and sciatic pain from L4-S1. I am currently in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy and also in a lot of pain. My OB doesn't know the prognosis for women with my condition and what it could mean for pain after delivery. Is there a better method of delivery for women with this kind of pain?

My question is ... does anyone have some insight on this topic? I haven't had any spinal surgery yet - but was told 8 years ago that I would need a fusion. I wanted to just get some ideas of what I might expect going forward.

Thanks all. Happy Wednesday!
