What could this disease be? sciatica and?

At around 5 months ago my dad started having back pain which wasn't so severe and didn't go to the gp/doctor. Around a month later the pain started aggravating down to both his legs also. He then went to the doctor which refereed him to do an xray and a blood test and told him that the pain of his legs where coming from his back due to an unknown condition until an xray has been done but has said he's got very mild bortherline arthritis. An xray was done and it resulted that he had a pinched nerve on his back with very little mild sciatica. This time around he was walking normally with on and off days of pain. From this day onwards his pain was so unbearable, unable to walk if not by legs a little wide open and having his legs dragging one after the other, unable to turn in his bed, has to sleep only back to mattress facing upwards because it hurts too much for him to drag and switch positions. An mri was also done and resulted that he has got something in his spine which wasn't clear also but the specialist said it wasn't a case of operation. The specialist tested his HLA-B27 and found it negative but found a high crp of 59. His pain is systematic all over even when he coughs and sneezes it hurts so bad that my dad nearly cries of pain Meds where being given along the way but none of them really helped except for cataflam which worked for a temporary time only and after finished course pain starts coming again. Since the crp and hla-b27 tests where back at his disposal he made an appointment with the doctor and it's for next week. ( I dunno how he will be able to bear with his symptoms and 24x7 pain till next week but let's hope for the best ). Nobody knows what is the problem and all tests are showing clear.

I am hearing him scream/shout in pain when in bed and it's very sad and frustrating for me to see my dad in this position. Please help me what can I do? It's like im going mad. Your help will be much appreciated !!
Wish you all the best :)
