Hello, I am 59 years old and have dealt with back pain for 30+ years. After surgery a few years back my doctor told me to "change my evil ways" or face more problems. I have given up some of the stupid things that would harm my body but I will not give up bicycling.
Insted I created a device that allows me to change the position of my body while riding my bike. This has helped to reduce back pain and numbness in my hands.

or google EZRIDE adjustable handlebars for bicycles
