Shooting pain in my lower back

Hey guys. I can feel shooting pain (only on the right half) of my lower back. Its hard to say where exactly it comes from, but it feels like just inbetween my spine and the muscle (think its called erector spinae). It is so painful that I have to stop doing whatever im doing and just wait until it stops. It all started a few days ago at my basketball training where i just rotated my torso and suddenly the pain shooted in my back. Also a few days ago i was lifting some heave weights in the gym, but that was supervised by my personal trainer/coach. I would like to ask if it just a pulled muscle or if its something more serious and i should visit an expert asap.
