New and need advice
I have anklylosing spondylitis diagnosed in 2008 since then I've has lower lumbar spinal fusion surgery 6 yrs ago and just recently had cervical fusion at 2 levels, I was on loritab 10/500 and soma since the first surgery and then switched however because of all the dea requirements my rhuematologists had changed me to noroco 10/325 and flerexil for the past 2 years and every since then I cannot get adequate pain relief I have been telling them for 2years my lower back hurts and at times I can't walk on my left leg, my legs always feel heavy, last year my hands started closing up and I had to have cervical fusion to release my spinal cord, I am in the process of changing rhuematologists to one in my home town and wIting for my appointment with pm to take over my pain medications, I also told my surgeon about the ongoing pain in my back, he wants to do another MRI but as I was gathering up my doctors notes I read in the report of my 2011 MRI that I have scar tissue on my s1 nerve root, my medical bills are through the roof and I'm tired of the endless pain and surgeries my question is that since my condition is not curable and they keep treating me like I'm some kind of drug seeker when I tell them I'm still in a lot of pain and want to lower my pain meds even more. I currently take 4 noroco 10/325 and 2 flerexil 10 plus Wellbutrin 2x a day. My primary already said he would write my pain meds but with the looming fact that my bills keep going up and I'm not getting better I'm wondering if it's time to give up and just see a pain management doctor. I'm only 43 and female I'm tired of living like this and just want some kind of quality of life while I can still walk. Totally frustrated and I need advice. Thanks.
