New To Forum

Hi, my name is Bill, I joined this forum to hopefully gain some knowledge on how to better cope with my chronic pain. A little history, June 1985 I fractured my back and neck while at a fire working as a paramedic/fireman.I've had two bac and cervical fusions since. Had to quit working in the medical field 3.5 yr ago due to pain issues. I am also a army vet ( Vietnam ) so I've been very blessed with the VA Healthcare system over the years, no complaints there.
I am at the point, I am 59 yes old, where there is really not much left in the way of treatment for me. I am in the agonizing process of trying to detox from morphine and oxytocin which has gotten out of hand.
So I guess I'm looking for support, ideas from others that are going through or have been through this for support. I am married and my wife is very support but she really has no idea of what I'm going through.
Also on June 3rd I am going to have a neuro stimulator implant device placed for 1 week and if it works they will place the permanent one in. I would like to hear from anyone who has had this done. Did it help??
Thx, Bill
