Pain pump

Hi all
I wanted to ask if anyone has or have had a pain pump? My surgeon gave me two options to try to reduce my chronic pain,
a third lower back surgery , this time a fusion and he said it would be a long recovery with some risks or try the pain pump and see if it offers some relief. Of course I said I would try the pump first. Just wanted to know if anyone had experience with it.
Other than that all I have is my pain pills which keep me surviving. Injections of several types and tins unit have offered little relief or made things worse.
I just want to live as pain free as possible and be able to move around to some degree.
This battle is 8 years and counting.
Thanks all
