I am a 43 year old male in Toronto that just had surgery 1.5 day ago. I injured my back working out and lifting weights 3-4 years ago and it took this long for me to pursue surgery..

I am very happy to say that things are feeling fantastic so far. Obviously, I have some surgical pain and have taken an Advil and a Percocet here or there but my wife took me for a walk when I got home and we walked probably 2-3 km slowly and I didn't feel any tingling or pain into my left leg like I had before! I am crossing my fingers that I am a good road to recovery as I just want to be fit for my kids and my senior years...

Anyway, I wish everyone here the best in spine health and I will keep you posted on my progress. I am supposed to not drive for 2-3 weeks and ideally not work for 4 weeks. Plus, not lift anything over 10 pounds etc.
