Spinal Stenosis and Anxiety

Hello, I am very glad I found this site and hoping someone can offer some advice or just commiseration. I am a 40 year old female who was diagnosed with spinal stenosis about a year ago. I also suffer from anxiety attacks, which have worsened and become more frequent over the last year. My doctor described me as “riddled” with stenosis and herniated and bulging discs. Sometimes when the pain is bad, or when I feel something “new”, my anxiety kicks in and I am convinced something else is wrong with me. I have intense pain in my chest, arms, shoulder blades and back on a fairly regular basis. I also get dizzy and lightheaded from time to time. As the symptoms get worse, my anxiety attacks kick in and I am wondering if anyone else suffers from this and what, if anything, they do for it. I tried various prescription drugs for the anxiety and found none of them useful. I am beginning to feel like I am going crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
