Endoscopic Posterior Cervical Foraminotomy

I am having this surgery in a few days, and was surprised by the horror stories I have seen on this site. Does anyone have a success story? My surgeon seems to think I will be back to work in 2-3 weeks... Just for background info, I am 39 years old, and have a herniated disk at C6-C7. Pain in should began 2 months ago. PT has helped with the pain, along with time, but I have had a non-functioning tricep for a month now. Doctors are worried about permanent muscle weakness if not addressed. Fusion is an option, but surgeons are hesitant because of my age. Foraminotomy is another option. Any similar stories?
