I had an MRI that showed severe narrowing on the report for L2-3.
L5S1-Severe right sided posterior facet arthrosis. Is that arthritis?
L5- 5mm degenerative neocyst versus synovial cyst to the extraforaminal portion of the right L5-S1 facet joint. What is a neocyst? I have googled and don't find it.
I've only listed what states severe. There are multi level disc disc bulges with most severe on the right L5-S1 level.
I had been having very severe lightening bolts of pain in my spine since February. I have had back pain for years. It was the new pain that finally made me listen to my body and seek help.
I have been doing PT for about a month now and had an epidural 2 weeks ago.
During PT today I was asked to lift my right leg. I was flat on my back. I wasn't able to lift it off the table. I tried my left and it flew right up. Back to the right and no matter how I tried I could only get my heel lift a fraction off the table. It was the strangest feeling. No pain was involved. PT said they would let my Dr know. I go back for a second epidural inn 2 weeks.
Good news, since the first injection I have had some pain relief. Mainly from the sciatica but not the sharp pains in lower spine.
Has anyone had this experience of not being able to raise your leg? No weakness standing or walking.
