sneezing after discetomy... is something wrong

I had a discetomy 1 month ago, yesterday morning I sneezed causing a twinge in sciatic pain. I feel like since yesterday the pain has been worse than it was and more similar to before surgery. I am worried I re herniated - hoping its in my head. Could the effects of sneezing last for a few days and maybe that is why I am in more pain?

  • If you feel that the symptoms are returning to what they were, pre surgery, the best option would be to consult with your surgeon.
He can order imaging or a steroid pack to see if that calms down the inflammation or increased pain.
It also could be nothing, but there is really no way for us to guess.
