  • I can understand why you're scared. Surgery is a big decision and sometimes we get caught up in thinking only about a possible negative outcome. I had the same concerns before my surgery but at the same time I was relieved by thinking that my pain may actually improve. If your surgeon is confident that this will give you relief then you have less to worry about. It's easy to feel like a burden on others, but remember that your recovery is very important so follow the restrictions and let him help you. I hope he is supportive through this process, recovery can be tough and it takes time. You'll need all the support you can get. Try to remain positive because added stress can hinder your recovery. It's easier said than done but you'll get through it. I wish you the best of luck with your surgery.
