Waking up from surgery?

What is it like waking up from cervical artificial disc replacement surgery?

When you wake up they will immediately want to know your pain level. They make sure you are comfortable, you will have a sore throat nothing serious just enough not to make you miserable. I had post op pain but the arm pain was GONE. I have had 5 cervical fusions and each one I was up and walking the halls by night-time. Your head will feel heavy at first at least mine did. Dont be scared, I know easier said then done but take it from someone who has been there a few times, it was no where near what I imagined
