Lumbar decompression surgery - L5/S1

Hi! I'm new to the board and I'm hoping I can find some help on here.

I'm active duty Navy and after a very extreme career of 20 years I found myself facing surgery on my L5/S1 disk compressing the nerve cluster there. I had the surgery, it seemed successful but I am now 2 weeks post-op and am having serious concerns. (I would ask my surgeon this- but he doesn't come back for another week)
I am having a burning/tingling sensation in my groin and back region. I described it previously as having electrified burning underwear. It tingles (nearly a numb pins and needles sensation) with a slight burning all inside my groin, backside, and "undercarriage".
In addition to the previous, I am also experiencing SI joint discomfort. A lot of it.
I realize I am still recovering from surgery wounds, but is this a reason for alarm?

Any expertise would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!
