Im 28 and have had horrible back pain for over a year. I started with taking a break from my very active physical life i was living,then saw a chiropractor (traditional and activator method), went for acupuncture and cupping, and went to PT. I have also seen an orthopedist, a spinal surgeon, neurologist, and even a rheumatologist. Finally it took the rheumatologist to actually look at my MRI and physically examine me and realize i have DDD in T6-T9.
Im currently figuring out how to be active without causing a flare up, which means no weights.
My biggest frustration currently is sleeping. I cant sleep without horrible back pain. Im a teacher and on summer break but im up and out of bed at 7am because it hurts to lay there. Ive tried muscle relaxers and nerve pills, plus lidocane patches at night to help me sleep (not all at once), but they dont work. Anyone have any advice? Medicine that seems to help you? A mattress that seems to reduce back pain? anything????
