L4 L5 fusion

I am a Soldier with 21 yrs active service. I had a L4 L5 fusion on 13 Jun 14. My lower back feels good but I have shooting pain in my left foot, it's swells, and it turns bright red. My left foot feels like it's on fire and I have sharp prickly pains. They have checked to see if I had a blood clott and did a MRI and everything is negative. I will do a EMG next week. The medication they gave me for my nerve pain is not working. Does anybody have these issues?
