I am scheduled for ACDF C-3-C7 fusion next month. I have been in pain for over 4 years age 60 and feel the need to trust my Neurosurgeon EDIT and have the surgery completed. My issue is with the plates and screws. This is permanent hardware, correct? May be a dumb question but feel the need to ask. I also have fear of tight spaces or things around my neck and hope the collar don't freak me out. I have one more visit with my doctor and will bring all my concerns to him. JT
