Loose cervical screws

Hi. I just had my 2nd neck surgery 7 weeks ago - this time a simple ACDF of C4-5. 1 week ago my xray indicated loose screws. My surgeon was not happy to say the least (blames me basically for non compliance, but he had me in a soft collar only, which I wore). My CT scan is tomorrow. I can tell something is wrong. I've had a couple episodes of not being able to swallow food - it gets lodged, & I have to cough it up. I'm also in an aspen collar until I go back to the surgeon next wed. Anyone have experience with this? Is surgery inevitable? I had a 2 level corpectomy & disectomy/fusion 10 years ago with none of these complications.
