So just got back after 10 hours in the hospital. The laminectomy took about an hour then post op was about 4 hours or so. Woke up with a lot of pain but partly due to one dude yelling at the top of his lungs from pain and screaming what did you do to me(he had just woke up too) and a kid throwing a tantrum so kind of added anxiety and stress making the pain worse. Back home and pain is around a 5 or 6 but thank god the sciatica is gone. Hurray!! They have given me some hydrocodone for home and taught me how to safely get up and down from bed(very hard to do surprisingly lol)
Anyways just wanted to thank everyone who has helped me in preparing for this and helping ease my mind and informing me about what to expect. I greatly appreciate it and am so glad i found this site, dont know what I would have done withoout it. I will try and keep you updated and have taken the advice of some and started a blog about it(as well as my weight loss) to give me something to do and for people in the future to know what to expect. Thanks again!!!
