back surgery and neck surgery

I've been through it all. physical therapy, tens units, patches, high doses of morphine/w breakthrough meds, an un countable amount of MRI's etc... I was wheelchair bound for 8 months on a walker for another year walked with a cane for about 2 years and know I can walk alone. My problem is the pain in my lumbar and thoracic spine. I cant sit, walk, or stand in one place for more than a few minutes without my pain level at 10+ I have lowered my pain meds to 60 mg. 2 times a day of oxycontin. I seem to get the same relief as I did taking 100 mg. 3 times a day of MS contin.I'm just really frustrated with the fact that Dr.'s tell me this as good as its going to get. I do walk about a mile a day. I have not worked since my accident and I really need to go back to work. I'm really looking to hear from people with similar circumstances that have gone back to work and still are on opiates. I spent my career as an owner/ operator in the restaurant business, which financially I cant make happen, so I would need to work for someone or a company. Any an d all comments will be very much appreciated
