I just wanted to drop I and introduce myself. Im a 25 year old male that lives in Florida. In the past years pain from a disc herniation at l4-l5 and disc bulge at l3-l4, along with osteoarthritis, DDD, amongst other things. I walk with a cane(like a pimp I might add.) lol. Also pain management since diagnoses at age 19.
Finally in May of this fine year of 2014, I had a third opinion with a surgeon EDITED
He immediately scheduled me for a lumbar disc replacement using the Prodisc L. I asked him what kind of relief should get out of this. He said with confidence that I will be completely normal, pain free, and off pain meds. So here I am I think 4 months post op and in worse shape than before. I feel like this was the worst mistake I ever made.
Sorry to go off intro. Well that's me and I cant wait to here all of your stories and advice.
I wish everyone a happy, pain free day!
