Neck Pain and Popping

I was in an automobile accident last march. Ever since then the back of my neck wants to pop now and then. If I'm setting still and I look around so I wont get a stiff neck it pops and sometimes the popping is light some times you can hear it. I've also been experiencing neck aches.

When I called 911 for help, they asked me if I was in pain, I told them I was hurting from where the woman hit into me. When I went to bed that night, I could tell the back of my next started hurting so I took some medicine.

I'm wondering if I should go get it checked out to see whats going on. However, I don't have insurance.

  • I am not a doctor so take this as just an opinion but I doubt is is anything with the discs in your neck. It is possible that maybe it could be the start of it though. I just had surgery in March for a herniated disc in my neck and I had shooting pain going down my arm and in my back. My feet would cramp and my legs. I wasn't even able to hold a cup of coffee steady in my left hand because of the pain I had. If you are just getting stiff necks and a little bit of popping it probably isn't anything serious. If you start getting shooting pains down your arm or your back or your chest then that might be something to worry about. Also I have insurance but my insurance pain over $130,000 for all of my epidural injections and my surgery. So it isn't cheap. I would try ice and heat and maybe some advil or aleve. Hope everything turns out for the best for you.
