More pain with weather change?

The weather has all of a sudden gone from nice and hot to fall like weather. I have noticed I have been really sore the last few days. Wondering how long it takes to adjust??
Discetomy 3 months ago

  • I don't know, but I have wondered the same thing. I'm only about 3 weeks from my second microdiscectomy (first was about 3 months ago). Our weather hasn't been fall-like, but it has changed quite a bit and I've been achy too.

    L5/S1 microdiscectomy - Aug 14, 2014

  • I live in North Texas & the weather has been very stormy most of the summer. I'm better at predicting electrical storms than the weatherman! Most of my damage & pain is in my lumbar region but I have bad arthritis in my fingers & I can see changes there. The weather greatly effects my inflammation. It's more about 'change' than what kind of weather for me. Did the weather effect your pain before surgery?
    Osteoarthritis & DDD.
  • I don't remember weather affecting me before. I am pretty worried as the last 2 days have been constant pain and I have not had that since before or just after surgery. I hope it's a flair up but after 3 months I'm not sure
  • I get weather related flares or I call them barometric flares. I am a much better weather predictor than some of the weather people on television........
I hope that things settle down soon for you.
