Lower back problems

Hi everyone and thanks for reading this message.

Basically I have had this for as long as I can remember as follows:-

If I am walking around mainly standing for long periods of time in supermarket my lower back can suddenly feel like it is going to totally give way on me. It feels very unsettling and embarrassing although normally able to recover situation without anyone seeing it.

Is there there anything I can do to stop this happening?

My dad has had exactly the same problem with his back all his life but as with me seems to be able to get by with it.

I have also started running about 2-3 miles every other day and for the most part back seems ok.

I am 35 years old and 6.3 tall

Thanks Simon
