I was taking it recently but have since gone up to 20mcg/h. On the lower strength I did not have any side-effects, which was good but it didn't provide quite enough relief. Overall, I like the Butrans patch. It is very convenient only having to change it once a week. The relief is very smooth and consistent. The patch also sticks very well and is waterproof. I sometimes get mildly itchy under the patch but my doctor said to prevent that I can either apply some OTC hydrocortisone cream 24 hours before applying the patch or alternatively spray some steroid nasal spray (Nasacort, Rhinocort etc) on the site, allowing it to dry and then applying the patch.
