L5 Disc Replacement

Hi there, I'm new to the forums here. I had disc replacement surgery about 5 weeks ago and was hoping to connect with others that could relate to the struggles I am facing. I am still in a lot pain. I figured I would be but was hoping that I would be one of those "miracle" stories where the woman/man gets a disc replacement and within a couple of weeks is better than ever before and with no back pain what so ever. Well, this is definitely not the case with me. I've very bad leg pain along with a different kind of back pain than before the surgery. I'm hoping that all this will fade in time and I'll get back to doing the things I love but it is a scary process. I think it would help me if I knew other people experiences and stories after having disc replacement surgery.
I know everyone is different. What is painful for you may not be so for me and vice versa but the exchange of information can be beneficial to each of us.
