5 mo post-op c5/c6 with chronic muscle pain

After 2 years of pain my Dr finally decided to do fusion surgery on herniated disc in C5-C6. I am 5 months post op. The surgery eliminated the arm pain, numbness and weakness. But just as before surgery I still have EXTREME daily muscle pain in my neck, the back of my head (top of neck), traps, and along the sides of my spine down to mid-back. My muscles are so tight that a MRI showed scoliosis which my Dr said I do not have, it is due to the muscles being so tight that they push on my spine to look crocked. I also have daily headaches from the muscle tightness. Has anyone else had this experience? And if so what made it better.

Here is what I have tried:
Been in PT for the last 4 months
Several muscle relaxers to include valium
I get massages about 2 times a week
2 week relaxing retreat just sitting in a hammock
Breast Reduction-Yes I am that desperate to get better
Trigger point injections
Cervical pillow
Heat/Cold Therapy
Anti-inflammatory meds
