Good Evening :)

I'm a 30 year old female who was recently in a major car accident. An SUV pulled out in front of me to turn left, I was driving straight and had the right of way. My car took the hit head on. My car was quite small and nearly 20 years old. I was hit with the airbag and suffered quite a few injuries. including herniated discs in my cervical and lumbar spine, an out of place pelvis and am beginning to experience severe pain in my jaw, neck and shoulders. I have tremors in my hands and constant twitching throughout my body when I am still, especially in my legs but sometimes in other parts of my body. I am scared because the answers I receive are ambiguous and different from each specialist I have seen. Nobody can tell me why I have these twitches, spasms and tremors. I am receiving epidural injections as well as chiropractic care, although my pain doctor told me that I should not be getting adjusted, my chiropractor made me feel nervous when I asked if I should discontinue being adjusted for the time being. So I'm trying to listen to everyone at the same time and it can be quite confusing. Next stop are the orthodontist and the neurologist. What I wouldn't give to have my carefree body back...I would never take it for granted again. That's my story so far..it felt good to let it out, even if nobody reads. :) I hope I can find some friends here, I can't really find anybody who can relate to what I am going through.

Have you consulted with a board certified ortho or neuro SPINE surgeon? If not, you should at least be seen and evaluated by one or the other, or better yet both. See what they tell you.
Your PM doctor is correct, you should not be allowing a chiropractor to do any adjustments or treatments on you, until you have consulted with a surgeon and see what he recommends and diagnoses as to your spine. If the surgeon tells you it is okay to allow the chiropractor to do adjustments, that's one thing, but if I were you, I would certainly not allow it at this stage.
Allowing a chiropractor to do adjustments, when you have herniations can wind up making your condition much worse, and cause injury.
