Back and glute pain

My lower back hasn't been firing great for a while but it's sugnificantly worsened today after a heavy impact to the lower back. The pain has now move down deep into the glute when walking and stretching it. The pain is a sort of dull ache pain. There is also a point where if I put pressure on a portion of my lower back then it hurts the back and I can feel the same dull ache pain in my glute. This is only on the right side by the way. I've tried heating and light stretching without much success, so I thought I'd sign up to this site to try and find the best course of action.
