We'll as I feared in an earlier post I do have cervical stenosis and it is severe and really worries me to death. I know we are not supposed to ask for input on MRI and I will not be as my doctor has scheduled me to see the neurosurgeon on the 16th about my lumbar and now my cervical spine. My MRI states
Interpretation: The vertebral body height and alignment is normal. There is degenerative disc signal from C2-C3 through C7-T1, inclusive. The cervical cord signal is normal. There are anterior and posterior spurs, most prominent at C5-C6.
At C3-C4, there is mild to moderate left-sided neuroforaminal narrowing secondary to unconvertebral spurring
At C4-C5, there is moderate to severe left sided neuroforaminal narrowing secondary to unconvertebral spurring
At C5-C6, there is a moderate-sized central disc osteophyte complex and bilateral unconvertebral spurring. This produces severe central canal stenosis and moderate cord compression as well as moderate to severe left-sidede neuroforaminal narrowing and mild right sided neuroforaminal narrowing.
At C6-C7, there is a moderate-sized disc osteophyte complex, asymmetric to the right producing moderate to severe central canal stenosis. Mild cord compression is noted. There is moderate to severe bilateral neuroforaminal narrowing.
Impression: Degenerative change and disc disease causing acquired central canal and bilateral neuroforaminal narrowing. The central canal stenosis is worst at C5-C6 and C6-C7 with resultant cord compression.
I understand that no one on the website is certified to diagnose my issues and as I stated earlier I have an appt to see the neurosurgeon. Just wanted some to share similar experiences and maybe explain what some of this means and help with questions that I should ask my neurosurgeon when I go. My regular doctor seems to think it's pretty serious and it worries me to death. Thank you all for your time and compassion on early post I don't believe I could deal with my pain if it was not for this web site and realizing it's not just me going threw this struggle.
